New Zealand

New Zealand, wild and intimate.

Beyond the fjords, a country of Māori traditions, volcanic plateaus, vineyard valleys and coastlines that reward the unhurried traveller.

New Zealand’s scale is deceptive — small enough to cross in days, deep enough to take a lifetime. The North Island holds its heat in geothermal vents and Māori meeting grounds, Hawke’s Bay’s wine country and Wellington’s compact creative life. The South Island answers with something rawer — Marlborough’s wine valleys giving way to the Kaikōura coast, the Canterbury plains rising sharply into the Southern Alps. Fiordland sits at the end of everything, genuinely remote. Our curators look for New Zealanders who know their corner of these islands properly — the Rotorua guide fluent in Māori history and land, the Marlborough winemaker who never left the valley, the Fiordland operator who reads the weather off the peaks. Frankenbridge’s New Zealand selection is in active curation. Boutique group tours and authentic travel experiences will arrive as suppliers clear our review.
